Run The beta and even used the IIS Smooth Streaming Player Development Kit - Beta 1 to build our own custom slick player.
And the hole experience was remarkably smooth..
We do have a problem When choosing to archive the live feed in segments . the IIS7doesn't create the appropriate .ism and .ismc files . so there is no way of playing those archives files...
what is the use of segmented archives if we can't even play it?

Hi.

I've been trying to push a stream IIS with the Live Smooth Streaming plugin.

Using the "pushEncoder.exe" it works OK, but using any other method, IIS returns a "200 OK" method after the first fragment's 'mdat'.

It then won't accept any further fragments.

Is there any way of finding out what's going wrong? Event log and IIS logs aren't giving any useful info (no difference between success and failure).

Also, I notice that "pushEncoder.exe" puts a 'uuid' atom at the end of the 'moof' atoms, and this is not present in the source MP4. Is it important & what is it's purpose?

EE3 does not support Live Smooth Streaming. You would need to get an encoder that support Live Smooth Streaming.

I'm trying to connect a live broadcast with Expression Encoder 3 and a wed cam when I try to connect to Publishing point I get this error Unable to establish connection to server. Ensure Windows Media Services is starter and the HTTP server control protocol is properly enabled is there an article or a walk through out there that will help with setting this up I'm running IIS7 I have media services installed. and has any one see articles on this subject for encoder the help files basically only tell you what properties they have I'm trying to have a web or video cam fire straight up to a web page
like Monday night football encoder seems to have the choice to do this there is a publishing option and a broadcast option I just need to get it to work

Have you got any answer or any news about possible software-based encoding solutions for Live Smooth Streaming? I'm trying to google anything about it and it seems tha there is probably only HW based encoder provided by Inlet.
