Php does not open files that are absolute

Hey all,

I really need some help getting to the bottom of this problem. I've used the MS beta web installer to get FastCGI PHP 5.2.9 onto my new Vista home premium machine. And since installing I've had many problems with php scripts that I have created and have out in the wild.

Basically it seems to be a directory/file IO issue.

1. require once

If I use requre_once in any other way than "file.php" or "./file.php", ie "/include/stuff/file.php" or ($docroot."/include/stuff/file.php), Require_once cannot open the file or directory

here is the error detail

Please help! I need to get to the bottom of this... so any advice will be very greatfully recieved

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask...

I'm trying to learn a bit of PHP so have installed it with IIS7 onto my Vista SP1 laptop following the instructions here http://www.iis.net/articles/view.aspx/IIS7/Hosting-Web-Applications/PHP/Using-FastCGI-to-host-PHP-applications-on-IIS7.

It all works as far as using the command prompt to confirm that PHP is working but when I try using IE7 to browses to http://localhost/phpinfo.php, the server returns a 403 forbidden error - "The website declined to show this webpage"

In the Event Viewer system log, an error is generated - Event 10016, Distributed COM

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID (this varies each time) to the user (my user) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

Any ideas what's going wrong here and how to fix it?

PHP won't run on IIS7 after Vista SP1 upgrade

I just upgraded Vista with Service Pack 1. Now IIS7 won't run PHP, though it had been doing so nicely before.

First I had to re-start WAS and W3SVC (via the comand line). Now HTML and legacy ASP pages run just fine, but when I run good ol' info.php I get:
