IIS 7.0 is not supported on Windows Server 2003, and I'm not sure how you'd download IIS 7.0 to your machine without upgrading to Windows Server 2008. Can you clarify whether you're upgrading your server to Windows Server 2008, or what you're trying to do?

Downloaded application ftp7_x86_rco.msi do not work with windows installer 3.1.Can you suggest a better alternative?

Please give me a useful suggestion.

Integrated Windows Authentication is not Enabled!!!!!

i am using IIS7.0 on Vista.i had created one web-site in ASP.Net2005 & in this web-site i had created one Folder as

Administrator.For main site i had set "Add Application" property from inetmgr and provide alias & physical path,

again same for Administrator folder.

From Authentication tab i had set Windows Authentication = Enabled & Anonymous Authentication=Disabled

so that its working fine for my main site.

But i am uable to set the same Authentication for Administrator folder,due to this it does not allow me to open & run

the Administrator as seprate site & again with Debugging option,giving me the error as........

Unable to start debugging on web-server.Debugging failed because integrated

Windows Authentication is not enabled.

Should i create Add Application for both site Or Add Virtual Directory?????????

I think the line above means, if an IIS logfile become larger than the size given it will truncated. But, I don't really know how does it work?

How can I test it? And what is the measure of the size given? Is it bytes or KBs?

Any help or ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

as you mentioned i did uninstalled and then reinstalled IIS7 but it didnt work again. you have mentioned also about Windows Process Activation Service i dont know how to configure/set up that. if you could please write me in details please about (WAS).

hi every one!

I have some problems on installing IIS7 extensions. I am using vista home premium. when I want to install IIS7 extensions from add remove programms"turn on or off" part, it gives me error. that windows couldn't install applications successfully. the extensions that I am trying to install are (asp, asp.net, server side included, ISAPI and the rest). i want to run my asp and asp.net pages in the internet exprorer gives me error 404.3.

can any one explain it to me in details please!!!!

i have reinstalled iis7 several times and went through lots of tutorials, but still i get problems. even I tried with handlers and even when i install the .NET Framework kit. it gives me error. I really appreciate your help.

IIS7 Confusion

When fallowing the step to install IIS7 on Microsoft Server 2008 Beta 3 (Longhorn) its states to create a .xml file and use pkgmgr. I did this then did an error check and got a 0 for error code but upon opening up Server Manager it shows only a 6.0 version. Please help clear up the confusion
