Dll seems had be exec, but don't do correct action ,

is any limit for socket ? i had close firewall too.

but packet is not send for my expected.

Multiple session cookies problem

Hi. I'm gonna try to explain the problem in short terms: On a shared Windows server which my host provide me, I'm getting multiple session cookies stored in the browser. This regards all browser types.

A clean ASP file with no code other then "response.write("Hello")
Updating the page in e.g. 5 minutes intervals
Every new session seems to make a new session cookie with a new ID
Eventually the cookie storage is full

Why this is a problem? After the storage get's filled up, there is impossible to write custom cookies like for a login. This makes big problems for my users who never close the browser. The only way to get rid of the cookies is by manually deleting them or restarting the browser. How is it possible to avoid this problem?

Is there a maximum number of variables that can be used in a VBScript / ASP page?

I have an error that recently came up as I was adding more code to a large application written in VBScript in the classic asp.
After some testing it seems to me that it has an issue with the number of variables used in my script. Since all pages are linked by using includes, and all processing and displaying is done through the same root asp page, it is thousands of lines long and could have this many variables I guess.
Here is the error message I get:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0006'

Overflow: '[number: 32771]'

/default.asp, line 519

the line 519 is actually after the server has processed thousands of lines in other files. Line 519 is actually blank, and I'm not sure why it even says that line. Made it really difficult to narrow down the actual issue's source.

but when I remove a small displaying of a variable, even that triggers the error. And removing a variable from my code seems to decrement the number displayed in the error after number.

Any ideas? Is there somewhere or somehow for this max limit to be increased?

I am new in this forum and I need some help about a problem.

I use a Windows 2003 and IIS 6.0 installed.

This is my trouble. I have need to enable the GZip compression server.

I have found some instruction to do that. But my question is this. I can enable the GZip on a sigle web site for certain extensions? And how I make that?

Classic ASP on Vista doesn't work with Database Connection. HTTP 500. Why?

Dear Everyone,

In Win XP, I can run classic ASP and connect to MS Access and SQL Server. Recently, I try to run the same ASP application on Win Vista and it works for some simple code like if..then, loop etc. However, when I try to connect to database in MS Access, it never works and always appears:

The Website Cannot display the page (HTTP 500)

Most likely causes:

The website is under maintenance.
The website has a programming error.

First, when I saw this, I thought maybe my code contained errors, but then I tried
this code in my friend's Win XP, it worked properly. No error.

Therefore, I would like to ask everyone who is aware of this problem,
please help me to solve it. I wonder whether it is because of Win Vista no longer
support Classic ASP or there is new code to connect to Database or any other
issues.

Classic Programs will not run in IIS5, ASPX and AJAX works fine.

We installed the Microsoft AJAX on our IIS 5 server (can't upgrade -- long story). The ASPX (.NET) programs and HTML programs run just fine, however, ALL classic ASP programs return the error "An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator." Any ideas where to look? We have classic and .NET co-existing in other servers - it's just this one causing problems. Thanks, Geno

Coexist Classic ASP and .NET 2.0

I need to know if there is a way to have .net 2.0 web site and classic ASP web site under the same domain name. .Net 2.0 web site is for public use while classic ASP is used for admin purposes. Both sites don't need to share session. In fact they do not share nothing at all. I need to know if there's some trouble for installing them together.

I'm thinking to install .NET site in the domain root folder and classic ASP in a different virtual directory. Is it a good idea ?
