HTTP 500 even IIS 5.1 is installed!

I've just made a website with asp
however I don't know why an HTTP 500 error is still exist even though I've installed the IIS 5.1

I can open my htmls but can't open the asps,why

When I open it, it just comes out with

Server Application Error

The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for more detail information. Please contact the server administrator for assistance.

when the web is in a frame and

The website cannot display the page

HTTP 500

The website is under maintenance.
The website has a programming error.

Load Balanced IIS 5 and the HTTP Keep-Alives Enabled setting

I have a Load Balanced web farm with 3 web servers which server web services to a WinForms desktop app. If I set HTTP Keep-Alives Enabled = True, general speed of performance is much better but I get many of these errors: The underlying connection was closed: A connection that was expected to be kept alive was closed by the server. If I set HTTP Keep-Alives Enabled = False, the errors all but disappear, but the speed of the app lags. Does anyone have a solution for keeping the speed of Keep-Alives but not the errors on a Load Balanced farm? Regards, Eric Bechtinger

Security Enhancements and Fixes in PHP 5.2.11:

Fixed sanity check for the color index in imagecolortransparent(). (Pierre)

On windows the libcurl library has been updated to its latest version which fix the following flaw http://curl.haxx.se/docs/adv_20090812.html. The libcurl is used only by the cURL functions.

IIS 5 Application memory usage issue

IIS 5.0 requires credentials when a web site is accessed from another AD site

I have an AD domain which has two sites.

I have an IIS 5.0 server running on Windows 2000 SP4 and it's default web site is configured to accept only Windows Authentication.

When I access this web site from the AD site that the IIS server belongs to, every thing goes well. But when I access this web site from the other AD site with the same user, it prompts me to enter credentials. When I enter the domain credentials, it works.

I've researched on Microsoft's support site and found the following KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837142

I will try it and let you know if it resolves the problem.

For the time beiing, I've enabled anonymous logon to resolve the problem.

Moodle Throwing FastCGi errors with login

I've been seeing alot of people having issues with moodle/fast CGI.

I am running IIS, MSSQL, php5 and Moodle...the app seems to work fine, when when I try to login (even as guest), I get this error:

FastCGI Error

The FastCGI Handler was unable to process the request.

Error Details:

The FastCGI process exited unexpectedly
Error Number: -2147467259 (0x80004005).
Error Description: Unspecified error

HTTP Error 500 - Server Error.

I have been commenting out headers references in the weblib, changing response times, just about everything....but can't figure out what the deal is. I've even started from scratch according to this awesome post:

How do I Move IIS Sites to a new server?

Ok I am trying to move a IIS site that is on server 2k running IIS 5 to a 2008 server running IIS 6. I need to know how to make the 2008 server the main source for the site, so that I can take the older server offline.

Please the Help is greatly thanked. if i need to upgrade to IIS 7 on 08 please give me a good link or the site to do it from.

Background:

Right now I’m in the middle of manually installing PHP 5.2.9 (rather than using the .MSI) on XP Pro SP3 using IIS 5.1. I’ve verified IIS 5.1 and MMC 3.0 and already installed MySQL 5.1, and FileZilla. I'm using ISAPI instead of CGI, by the way.

This is a dev machine, the final web site will get pushed to a host but I want to do the development/learning locally. The reason I’m sticking with IIS is that my host does not support Apache, so WAMP / Xampp is out.

Issue:

No matter what I do I can't get phpinfo() to properly report the location of the “Configuration File Path”. It seems "glued to" C:\WINDOWS. I’ve researched this until my fingers are nubs (starting with but not limited to the PHP site) but I’m not coming up with anything that works. Here’s what I’ve done:

I've:
1. Included PHP in the Windows PATH (before MySQL’s) as ";E\PHP;"
2. Added the PHPRC system variable pointing to my install location as "E:\PHP"
3. Modified PHP.INI's extension_dir to point to "e:\php\ext"
4. Modified the Registry to include: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PHP IniFilePath E:\PHP
5. Though it may not be relevant, I've set up the ISAPI module in IIS Properties for all "Web Sites" as follows:
5a. Added to the ISAPI Filters list: PHP pointing at e:\php\php5isapi.dll
5b. Set the Home Directory: Execute for Scripts Only
5c. Mapped the .php extension, having it point at the same location as above and setting verbs to: GET,POST,HEAD
6. Set the Documents, adding “index.php” and moving it to the top of the list
7. I then stopped and restarted IIS using net stop and net start (and completely rebooted my workstation too)

No matter how many times I've checked my entries, when I run phpinfo( ) -- as test.php -- the "Loaded Configuration File" data is correct (E:\PHP\php.ini), but the "Configuration File Path for php.ini is not; it still points to "C:\WINDOWS".

I'm not sure how serious this is, yet. The simple tests I've run so far seem to work okay but I'm concerned that having the Configuration File Path wrong, will "get me" sooner or later -- and I've learned over the years not to drive passed issues that aren't solved or resolved.

Any help would be appreciated.

IIS not starting

Hi,

i`m using Windows 2000 SP4 and i`ve just installed IIS 5.0.

However when i open inetmgr i get error message something like:

"error while connecting to computer - system couldn`t find specified path" (it`s my translation from Polish)

and i cannot see my computer under IIS tree node.

Please help me.
