Disk or Network Error in Windows 7, Please help

Yesterday I upgrade my PC's OS from Vista to Seven Ultimate. After I turned on IIS feature, web applications on my machine do not work anymore. Disk or Network Error appear when I opened pages. I followed every steps of setting up from IIS's Blog (http://blogs.iis.net/bills/archive/2007/05/21/tips-for-classic-asp-developers-on-iis7.aspx). Classic ASP worked fine when I used Vista, but not work in Windows 7. Please help me to make my Classic ASP pages to run on WIndows 7, Thanks

odbc connection pooling with Delphi 7 & IIS7

We have a application that utilizes a combination of ASP.net (c#) and classic ASP (Delphi 7). When running the application on Windows Vista or Server 2008 using IIS7 we experience terrible performance problems from the classic ASP pages when retrieving data from SQL. Upon investigation using SQL Profiler it is apparent that hard connections are being opened and closed rather than being pooled. We experience the same issue with IIS6 on Server 2003 however this can be worked around by enabling IIS5.0 compatibility mode. Unfortunately there seems to be no such workaround for IIS7 Does anyone have any ideas as to why odbc connection pooling does not work in IIS7 (or 6)

Blank Page No Errors

Hi guys,

I have a website which I've brought over to IIS7 from Windows IIS6, which ran great there.

Now its on IIS7 some of my Classic ASP pages wont run and simply stop dead outputting to the browser just a blank page. The only thing in the blank page source code are the usual <html> tags etc. There are no error codes at all.

If I break the code (by adding a 'end if' in to the code where it sholdnt be) I get the relevant errors.

This happens to only a handful of pages. The only common thing I can see between the pages is that they use the 'Server.CreateObject' call to either create an instance of Jmail or FileSystemObject.

I'm really stumped with this one and any help would be would be greatfully received.

ASP Scripting language 'jscript' is not found on the server Error - after DW CS4 installation

I too have similar problem.

I've DW CS3 installed in System with Win XP as OS (IIS 6).

After installing DW CS4 trial version, I'm getting the following
error in my website.

Error Type:

Active Server Pages, ASP 0129 (0x80004005)

The scripting language 'jscript' is not found on the server.
/includes/tNG/tNG.inc.asp, line 195

The website was working fine earlier and the contents in the
live server is working fine.

DW CS4 has disturbed the existing one... Now I uninstalled DW CS4
and reinstalled DW CS3 again.

But the problem persists....

Help me pls..

I Tried your suggestion regsvr32 "%CommonProgramFiles%\System\ado\msado15.dll" and receive the message

regsvr32 "%CommonProgramFiles%\System\ado\msado15.dll" produced a message that msado15.dll was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with the error code 0x80070005

Not sure what to do next to solve why ASP does not run on Vista and IIS7

Got problem with MS Access, please help.

I'm running IIS7 on Window Server 2008. There are about 100 domains in my server. Most domains work fine, but there usually has problem with domains which are using MS Access with asp. Those domains work fine for some time, then these error occur:

"Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'" or "Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113' Script timed out"

I used to try restarting IIS, it doesn't help. What I have to do is rebooting my server, then everything will get back to work as normal. This problem happen about once to twice times a week. While the problem happens, other domains which are not using MS Access work fine.

I don't think that it is because of the coding, because it happens to every domains which are using MS Access. What can be the cause? And how prevent it to happen again? Please suggest.

Help: I cannot view the final output of ASP in Vista Ultimatte. I only see the source code....

Hi everyone,

First of all, I m a student and I try to do an assignment using ASP. The fact that I wanted to test my ASP pages before uploading them online led me to install IIS. I am using Windows Vista Ultimate and I followed the steps of installing ISS through windows features. However I am not sure if I did it right because I ticked all the boxes in the "World Wide Web Services", while in "Web Management Tools" I just left only "IIS Management Console" ticked. In addition I left "FTP Publishing Service" blank as default. I don't know if there might be a conflict or not. After that I saved my first ASP page in this direction "C:\inetpub\wwwroot". Although I had some problems saving files there, I bypassed them by loading notepad as Administrator.

Finally, this is where I face a problem. When I try to load my ASP file through IE7, instead of displaying my normal ASP page, I can only see the source code.

The problem might be obvious for you but not for me. Please help me:) Thanks a lot.

IIS7 Client Side Debugging Problem - Solved

I found the solution just after posted this message. Anybody has this issue continue reading.

1- Push Win+R buttons and execute Run window

2- Copy/Paste this :

%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe set config -section:system.webServer/httpErrors -errorMode:Detailed

Push enter button and thats all.

Like most, I've been trying to set up classic asp and IIS7 on my Vista laptop for about 27 days now. I've done every tutorial step by step again and again but nothing works. including these steps:

I keep getting the:

Does anyone know what else I can do to get this going?

Issues in IIS 7, session and application variables are not maintained - Classic ASP site

For local development purpose, I ran following script on VISTA, IIS 7:

It does not show me IP of client, Request.ServerVariables("remote_host") and

(Request.ServerVariables("remote_addr").

on my vista I had IPv 6 and IPv4 both enabled. i dropped IPv6 protocole and now Request.ServerVariables("remote_host") is showing ::1 value earlier it was showing "A6073E5A-D779-472A-8430-9B03999E4121" AS IP

Also I noticed that all values assigned to session and application variables defined in global.asa are not available in other pages of my website means session and application variables are not maintaining. It seems that whole server side variables are not working that were initialized with appliction_OnStart, session_OnStart. Wherein whole ASP siter with no change in code is working fine with IIS 6 (xp/win2k3). But this issues comes within IIS 7. Please help how this can be fixed ?
