For SQL Server Express Advanced, you will need to obtain the Service Pack from Microsoft Update or from the download center. See: http://blogs.msdn.com/sqlexpress/archive/2009/05/11/i-have-sql-server-express-installed-and-i-want-to-upgrade-to-service-pack-1.aspx.

If the error code is 0, the product should have been installed. Have you determined whether it was installed successfully?

This log indicates you are uninstall SQL Server 2008. Do you see other SQL Server log files with an installation error? If so, post the summary.txt log and open up the detail log and search for "Error:" and post the error around "Error:"

%temp%\dd_dotnetfx35install.txt
%temp%\dd_dotnetfx35error.txt
%temp%\dd_depcheck_netfx*.txt
More .NET 3.5 SP1 troubleshooting info is at ...

Take a look at the Sumamry.txt log file located at %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log. If you cannot figure out the error message, please post the detail log in %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log\<latest session>.

Thanks for your response. We are aware that you can't install Full-Text and Reporting Services if you have already installed SQL Server Express. Unfortunately, we can't address this issue quickly and easy. The easiest workaround is to uninstall SQL Server Express and then Install SQL Server Express with Advanced ...

SQL Server 2005 only needs to be uninstalled if it installs an instance called "SQLExpress". If this is the case the Web Platform Installer should let you know that SQL Server 2005 is not compatible with SQL Server 2008.
