Hi All.
I was having the same hanging message "Please wait while we load the latest Web Platform Products" also on Vista, I spent a complete day trying to resolve... I was getting the Perflib & LoadPerf errors in Event Viewer/Windows Logs. I solved the problem by C:\Windows\System32\Cmd.exe ...
