    After further review, I see the log says: SQL Server installation failed.The specified sa password does not meet strong password requirements. For more information about strong password requirements, see "Database Engine Configuration - Account Provisioning" in Setup Help or in SQL Server 2008 Books Online. I chose mixed mode ...

    Ok... I can fire up SQL Server Management Studio, so my next question is how to configure it (connect)...Is the Server Type "Database Engine" or "SQL Server Compact Edition"? Then, what do I point the Server Name to?  After I figure out that, I can select a default database or create one. Thanks, jb24.

    Is there a way to uninstall the WebPI... so as to start over?  I'm not sure why I can't find the Visual Studio application.  I only saw a SQL Server Express 2008 with SP1 failed to install message, that's it.
