  Hi Dave, Thanks for your response...i was witing for a responsse for over a month now...however, i am still facing this issue. I am aware that this service is not inbuilt. However, isin't active server pages related to IIS?? And I am not sure why I am receiving the W3ctr errors either. Please advise. Thanks Sam

  Hello, I have a Windows 2000 SP4 which is hosting many web sites. In the event Viewer i see many recurring logs with the following events 1.Active server pages service started 2.Active server pages service stopped 3.W3ctrs- W3svc could not query performance counter.
