that sounds about right because I have another website with a hit counter that writes to a txt file but i get this error
[Count could not be obtained due to the following error]: Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Intranet\TechRes\counter.txt' is denied.

Thanks. I forget what was going on. I had this in my load event. Call ProtectSection("appSettings", "DataProtectionConfigurationProvider")
Call ProtectSection("connectionStrings", "DataProtectionConfigurationProvider")
Call UnProtectSection("connectionStrings")

This is the physical directory for the website I am having trouble viewing....'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SendIt\
I dont know what this is.....xspwcekz.tmp I am guessing it is some sort of temp file.
whatever it is it changes everytime i hit refresh in the browser. for example,
'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SendIt\vl0k-3fo.tmp' is ...

I have solved this. I didn thave the permissions set to the admin group which I am a member of.

I have 4 websites hosted nad three of them work but one. I dont know why I am getting this error on this website and not the others. All of my wesbites are in virtual directories created from the default website.

I have a Win Server 2008 standard, IIS 7 and Visual Studio 2008
Evrytime i try to publish the web files to teh physical directory i have mapped from the server to my local PC i keep getting this message.

I have Vista Business, MS SQL 2008, and VS 2008. I just installed everything including Vista. When I view my localhost through IIS 7 I keep getting this error message:
