    The error log says the following: "Warning:   New Application Failed. The new Application could not be added." The site that I am trying is not an aspx page.    Thanks again!

     I just tried the hello world page and I got the exact same error.   The odd thing is this server is running other ASP sites with no problems at all. It seems to be specificly this site.      When I run that command I get the following:  "The error indicates that IIS is not installed on the machine. Please install IIS Finished installing ASP.Net <2.0.50727>."     Our intranet is running on VM's (both prod and test), as well as our fairly low traffic e-commerce site. According to our analytics software we get roughly 1 million page views per day across all of our external facing sites, and the server guys here are not willing to test that much traffic coming in to VM's in a production ...

Are you trying to access your site from outside of your network?  If you are trying to access it within your LAN then you can simply modify your hosts file and point to the IP address of the machine hosting the site.
