1) The Media Services 2.0 RTW includes an RTW version of Smooth Streaming. Since the Smooth Streaming Beta is an earlier version, it does not install on a machine with 2.0 RTW by design. Please verify that that Smooth Streaming functionality (On-Demand) works as expected with 2.0 RTW and you should not need to install ...

Keivan - This is certainly possible with the server, but multi-bitrate audio support is not included in the client implementation or (to the best of my knowledge) with the commercially available encoders. What are you using to encode your content today?
I'd be glad to reach out to the compression community and see what thoughts ...

tjader - thanks for your questions! I'd like to clarify a couple of things about how the Silverlight control is intialized from the web page that should help. In order to play content, you will need three things:
A Web page with an <object> tag that creates hosts the control
A XAP (Silverlight application package) that the ...

Steve - thanks for the question. IIS Smooth Streaming is designed for both large-scale CDN scenarios and smaller-scale deployments. We'll be working to make sure the technology will work well in both for final release.
