Thanks for that information Jeff. I'll hold off installing IIS for now and just build my web site using Visual Web Developer. Then I'll see if I can successfully publish my Visual Basic application to my web site and if I can I'll just skip installing IIS on my computer.

Your avatar looks the same to me as before. I'm not going to worry about it. I have other more important things to consider.

Yes, I'm doing it in my profile and clicking the tab for avatar. I select enable avatar yes. I browse and select picture from my hard drive and then click upload but every time I get no result. It just leaves my picture as you see it now. I had problems at another site and found that if I went with a picture below 100 x 100 pixels it worked so ...

I was trying to upload a picture for my avatar but it wouldn't take. I had the radio button clicked for enable avatar. I was using a picutre that was under 100 x 100 pixels and had worked on another forums site but it wouldn't take.

Thanks for the reply. I'm no longer getting that message. I've installed Visual Web Developer 2008 Express and Visual Basic 2008 with SP1 since I made the first post.

Thanks very much. You nailed it. I had never installed IIS. I knew that IIS7 came with Vista Business but I didn't know that it was optional to install it or not.
