Hi mped,
Thanks for reporting this. Did you install the Web Platform installer in the last few hours or have you used Web PI before? The reason I ask is that we just released a new version of Web PI and I'd like to be able to track it down. I tried running our new version of Web PI on XP SP2 and didn't see the error you ...

Hi daichisama,
Web PI does not currently support offline installation since we pull the latest versions of the platform software. Thank you for the feedback, this is something we will continue to discuss to see if there is something we could do to help in your situation.
Thanks,
Crystal

Hi LeftyUM,
Looking at your log, it looks like you were able to install FTP Server and I'm not seeing an error for FTP. Could you try launching Web PI again and let me know if the product is selected (with installed displayed next to it)?
Thanks,
Crystal

Hi John,
Good question. We are making this experience better in our next release, but to answer your question, no you don't need to install SQL Server on your local box to continue with your installation. However, right now Web PI will bring along SQL Server Express if it doesn't detect it on the local computer. To not ...

Hey Phil;
Ahhh, thanks for the clarification. We have removed the perf counters, which we think will solve all of these issues. But until we can release the fix in Web PI, below should help you install IIS.
There are two places to find IIS components (which is why we started the Web PI project :) ).
1. Built-in IIS. You ...

Hi Phil_S,
You can find the IIS installers under the Web Platform tab on the left side. IIS is made up of 40+ modules and extensions that live under the Web Server checkbox. You can choose customize to find the individual components or just choose the checkbox to get the recommended components.
What Web PI does is it will either ...

I just wanted to let you know that this issue you are all seeing is a bug in Web PI that we are tracking with a fix for our next release. In the meantime though I am actively trying to find a URL to the Gallery package that doesn't return a 301.
So please keep letting us know by posting on this forum if you have this issue. It ...
