Did you mean you have VB6 COM component register as COM+ and it failed?
But which application is calling your VB6 COM?

The path should be this:

Otherwise you need to put hello.asp or default.asp yourself.

Database connection should be one of your ASP.NET code's responsibility. You need to check your asp.net code, try outputting some error message in your code that might be helpful for debugging the issue. Besides you need to check the IIS log files to find if there is connection problem between ie and the IIS Server.

Don't think antivirus software can find all of the malicious software. If you are willing, reinstall os is a clean way.
