I have a couple of sites that stream WMV and one that streams FLV videos. I have a windows 2003 server (Standard Edition, all the latest service packs and updates). I have noticed that after the videos play a few times, they no longer play until I run the iisreset, reboot the server, or restart the AppPool process for the sites. ...

I don't know if the proper term is clustering, but what I am wanting to do is the following:
I have a main web server running Windows 2003 Standard Edition with SQL databases for about half of the sites I am hosting.
I have another Windows 2003 Standard Edition server that I am using for DNS and mail (not Exchange).

Is there a service or something to allows flv files to stream on a windows server through IIS or is it a service that has to be installed?

Web Server Edition cannot run SQL. You need Standard or higher.

If you have your host header information correct in IIS (and you have it bound to an IP address and not any available), then I would DNS is the issue. DNS Stuff is a great tool to help test things. Out of curiosity, did you get everything figured out?

Although this is an IIS forum, you can either set it up in the firewall or your can adjust the settings in the NIC itself. By default it will allow RDP from any address available on the NIC. Is it a scripting issue due to not having the proper syntax or is it because you need to check the box on the Home Directory tab (or change the type execution)?
