I would like to know what the official position is on updating, browser definition files.
The documentation suggests not changing the *.browser files in machine wide .NET configuration, as service packs etc. can be expected to do that.
I'm interested in the machine wide settings, not settings in an individual web site.
How often are ...

I code up sites written for ASP.NET 3.5.
They have security built in but I'd like to go further.
I'd like to understand what exploits are currently being used and attempt those on various versions of sites. (Staging and live.)
Having had a quick look at cracker tools, I'd prefer a tech. savvy high level view, ...

Here's details of my current fix for this:
I have added a text field with the datetime string in it. (For conversion in the database.)
The command line code looks like:

I have some time data in logs with a sub-second time resolution.
I can get this safely into log parser using the iTsFormat setting.
When I put that into SQL Server 2008 I have (so far) gotten the times in seconds (loss of resolution). The target field is datetime2 (not datetime).
How do I preserve the resolution when inserting the data?

Update:
The flakiness when creating an FPSE mapped project did not occur on a second attempt. (maybe VS / IIS have issues on first use OR the existing content confused some code)
