Posted to Web Deployment Tool (MS Deploy) by wisecarver on 10-24-2009, 9:50 AM

Salutations,     Using the most recent IIS7 Manager 'MSDeploy' updates is it possible with the Packaging Wizard to modify a setting in the deployed web.config? I'm creating a series of Webcasts on this and want to make it as simple as possible. The videos will show how to package/create and deploy entirely with the ...

Thanks bro. I spent a few days digging through all the KBs and did try that before posting here. At first I was giddy, thought for sure that was the culprit. ;-)   Salute,     Mark

Me 2  ;-) I kept checking during that entire nightmare but no log file. On the sister system the iis7.log was 93k but nada on this one. The PowerShell team is going to kick me but I am thinking that may have been the prob somehow.   Salute,     Mark

Final update:  Have reformatted the non-conforming system and performed an allday install fest. . . All is working now but I'm still not sure what the problem was.   Salute,     Mark Wisecarver

UPDATE. . . Seems the most common resolution on Vista Ultimate was a format and re-install so that's what I have decided to do as well.   Salute,     Mark Wisecarver Note: Before re-formatting I inserted the Vista Ultimate DVD and allowed it to conduct a pre-install check...In the check it balked about ...

Salutations, Note: I've seen several other posts concerning getting the IIS7 Manager to work on Vista Ultimate. I've been creating Microsoft Technical webcasts for IIS7 (dasptv.com) on Vista Home Premium with no trouble. Doing the same on Vista Ultimate so far has been fruitless. New Intel Core2 Quad with Vista Ultimate SP1 32-bit ...
