&lt;p&gt;To be sure, you can also send along webpi log files to &lt;a href="mailto:webpi@microsoft.com"&gt;webpi@microsoft.com&lt;/a&gt; and we will help analyze and fix the issue for you. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Meanwhile, please uninstall Powershell from&amp;nbsp;your&amp;nbsp;machine (Add/Remove programs in control panel should have Powershell listed), and then retry the SQL Server 2008 Management Studio install using WebPI.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Can you uninstall a previous VS or VWD version and then try again?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Quick question - When you tried to install VWD SP1 using webpi, did you get any error message from WebPI?&lt;/p&gt;
