I'm not sure how much detail you're looking for, but my book has a short section on installing and configuring IIS Media Services 2.0, including an example HttpModule that implements customized bit rate throttling:

One follow-up: the course Configuring and Managing Windows Media Services might also be useful. This is a two-day instructor-led course based on Windows Media Services 2008.

Hi, Joeri,

I think you are referring to the Windows Media Resource Kit. Most of the concepts still apply in 2008, so I still recommend it as a great resource.

Specific download and installation instructions for Windows Media Services 2008 are in Knowledge Base (KB) Article 934518. Additional material that might help is in the Deployment Guide on TechNet.
