Windows Sever 2008 comes with IIS7. You can confirm it by going to Help-->About Internet Information Services

MSDeploy does not support IIS5, but migration from IIS6 to IIS7 is possible. You just need to specify -verb:migrate instead of -verb:sync to enable all migration rules.

Ok I am trying to move a IIS site that is on server 2k running IIS 5 to a 2008 server running IIS 6. I need to know how to make the 2008 server the main source for the site, so that I can take the older server offline.

Please the Help is greatly thanked. if i need to upgrade to IIS 7 on 08 please give me a good link or the site to do it from.
