Yes, I agree with Bernard. If you did run WebPI to install IIS for Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, during the installation you will be prompted to insert the Windows Installation CD.

That is WPI which is a installer to simplify and help you to install available apps that run on top of IIS. It doesn't give you IIS. It may however, help you install IIS from your local media.

Here is the Microsoft.com page for web platform installer. It says IIS is included.

If you're talking about the Web Platform Installer, then no, IIS is not included. IIS is only shipped as part of the operating system on everything after Windows NT4. You will need the operating system CD to install it.

If you do not have an XP cd then you can download microsoft web install in which IIS is included.

Add / remove programs > Add / remove windows components > IIS is where it's located on XP. You'll need your XP cd fyi..
