This bug is also seen on x64 Windows Server 2003. To reproduce, run ASP.NET in 64-bit mode. From http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894435:

cscript %SYSTEMDRIVE%\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs SET W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 0
Type the following command to install the version of ASP.NET 2.0 and to install the script maps at the IIS root and under:
%SYSTEMROOT%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis.exe -i

Once 64 bit is enabled, make more than 6000 active ASP.NET sessions. I would really like to see this fixed.

Hi all,

I've 2 webservers running Windows 2008 x64. When I try to read the perf.counter ASP.NET Apps v2.0.50727 it shows really large numbers in both servers, here is a sshot:

If I a reset the webserver (iisreset) this counter works fine for a couple of minutes and then goes back to big number.

The application running that worker process is a .net 3.5 application.
