&lt;p&gt;There is no &amp;quot;designated directory&amp;quot; option in IIS 6.&amp;nbsp; You have Directory on this system, Share or Redirect.&amp;nbsp; Redirect has no browse button.&amp;nbsp; Are you logged in as a local admin?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;when I check the property of my website in IIS ,&amp;nbsp; under the &amp;quot;directory tab&amp;quot; , I don&amp;#39;t have the browse botton. 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;the local path is highlited and doesn&amp;#39;t let me to edit. 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;by the way I have choosed the &amp;quot;designated directory&amp;quot; option 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;do you know how to activate the local path to be able to edit&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;
