    IIS 7.5 + PHP (5.3/5.4) performance: FileCacheModule versus WinCache wincache.fcachesize versus P...

I hope this is the correct subforum. Just move this post if there's a more appropriate subforum. My question is pure about IIS- and PHP performance. If the IIS module FileCacheModule is enabled, what benefits do PHP configuration settings like wincache.fcachesize and/or realpath_cache_size have? It looks like they do exactly the same, or something (very) similar. Wouldn't it decrease overall performance to set all three options? My idea is, it is best to start caching as soon as possible, so either FileCacheModule (in IIS) or WinCache (wincache.fcachesize). Yet, some PHP applications (like "ZOO" by YOOtheme for instance) require an increased realpath_cache_size. What's your opinion about this? Regards, Jan Reilink
