IIS terminated unexpectedly (7034)

I have problem with my IIS. It hangs almost every day. If I do iisreset the IIS starts again. What can I do to debug, I really don’t know that to do. I am using Windows 2003 Server. In Event Viewer I receive error code 7034. Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Category: None Event ID: 7034 Date: 2005-01-20 Time: 12:43:57 User: N/A Computer: SRVWEB02 Description: The World Wide Web Publishing Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Category: None Event ID: 7034 Date: 2005-01-20 Time: 12:43:57 User: N/A Computer: SRVWEB02 Description: The IIS Admin Service service terminated unexpectedly. This is just telling you iis admin service has crashed. Hard to tell what's going on. so pls ensure a) machine is patch up to date b) do a virus scan c) you can get iisstate from iisfaq.com and try to capture the thread dump.

if your server have anti virus try to execlude the windows folder from the scanned folders

Virus scans should have no effect on the IIS Admin Service, and you would certainly want to scan Windows folders for viruses.

the antivirus system is trying to get hold of the system files or the .ASA / .ASAX files which are critical to IIS Server’s functionality and since IIS is unable to get exclusive access to those files, it starts crashing with unknown errors in the event logs.
