server detail: window server 2003 , IIS 6.0 , .NetFramework 1.1.
i get following exception detail: system.Net.WebException: the request failed with HTTP status 401:Unauthorized.
my directory structure is parent directoty "default website", under it child directory "Reporitingsite" virtual directory.(where i have place my deployed solution).
i was changing the application pool of Reportingsite, i got a pop up called "inheritance override" it listed me a web service which is hosted in child directory "Reportingsite", i clicked select all and ok button .
after that action i start getting exception as mentioned above.
i feel the accessflag for that service has been changed.
please can some help me out how to revert back the changes in access flag.
or revert back the old setting of reportingsite virtual directory. so that my application work fine like before.

Hi Santosh,
Make sure that the user under which the appolication pool runs has sufficient permissions to the directory in which the files are located.
