Problems installing Azure Toolkit via Platform Installer

Hello,

I'm having a devil of a time trying to get the Azure Toolkit installed. I *think* I know what the issue is - it has happily installed all the modules but doesn't actually load the toolkit into visual studio. I'll go back to Project->Cloud->Enable Windows Azure Tools, and it will send me back to the Platform Installer link again. Web Platform Installer says "Windows Azure SDK for .NET - November 2011 (Installed)" but then says it needs to install "ASP.NET MVC 3 Tools Update Installer (Dependency)".

The Web Platform Installer reports the dependecy pacakge installs successfully, but if I run the setup package directly from the download link, the setup package actually says "Product does not apply" - "Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 3 Tools Update does not apply".

I think the reason the platform installer reports success is because the setup log shows it exits with error 0x00000000 (success). However, it doesn't actually enable the Azure SDK, and the whole process repeats again when I try to install the Azure SDK via the platform installer.

Help?

Thanks for posting - I skimmed both log posting and didn't see any failures. So WebPI is reporting products as not being successfully installed?

I'm facing a very similar problem. On a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate, installed: * Windows update - important updates and Windows 7 SP1 * SQL Server 2008 R2 * Visual Studio 2010 - only C# selected * Visual Studio 2010 SP1 * Web Platform Installer 3.0 - following .NET developer path on Windows Azure website - http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/develop/net/ * Reran Visual Studio 2010 SP1 SP1 - Studio complains that some components do not have SP1 installed. After this procedure has finished without any errors: Open visual studio - no sign of Azure templates - can not open an Azure web project - no sign of MVC 3 projects What am I doing wrong here? I skimmed through the logs - I didn't see any failures listed. Did you maybe do multiple WebPI installs of products and that posted log was from a successful install?
