I hade no instance of SQL server via WPI, nor WebMatrix, but I found a SQL Server driver at the ODBC-Admin data source. The version is 6.01.7601.17514 and it's a SQLSRV32.DLL file. Should I remove this to?
about Stand-Alone Installs tools to help fix the problems ?
Martin
Yes I did,
I gave up and used a recovery point to return the computor to its previouse station.
Today I got so far so I have VS2010 installed, but when trying to install DotNetNuke I runned into the same problem with th installer not accepting a connection string.

Hi Tomas,
Thanks for cleaning up the logs. From the looks of things you need to clean-up old installs
and start fresh for the SQL Server Express.
Look at Richard's Guide for SQL Server Express .
SQL Server driver at the ODBC-Admin may be the navie driver and that can be checked in the Windows Control
Panel add and remove.
Check in the Windows Control Panel Programs Add and
remove SQL Server Express R2 and the dependent features.
Check on the C:\Drive and the F:\Drive there is a mis match:
Sorry your having this much problems :(

Trying to trace SQL objects I noticed a folder called C:\MATS
Is that a backup folder or ...?

Hi,
Making a wild guess that C:\MATS is part of the problems. You did the Windows Install ?
Who did the setup for Windows this C:\MATS looks like the OEM stand--alone type installs.

Hi,
Ohh, "You made the install of everything on the computer.
Then the C:\MATS is yours and contains the setup files ?
Do you know about Aaron Stebner Web Site http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/ ?

Hi Tomas,
For the DotNetNuke Community Edition http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/879/dotnetnuke--community-edition-faq/
Are you using DotNet Nuke guide:
http://www.microsoft.com/web/post/using-webmatrix-to-build-a-dotnetnuke-application ?
Using DotNet Nuke and WM
http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/869/using-the-windows-system-tray-to-manage-websites-and-applications/ IIS Express.
IIS Server information and guides for Dot Net Nuke:
In the Administrator Tools Internet Manager :
Open IIS Manager http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/113/getting-started-with-iis-manager/#New
http://learn.iis.net/file.axd?i=20 image look for the Connection String Icon.
"Do not use VS2010 for editing the connection string while installing DotNetNuke installer.
