You I assume have checked the DiscountASP KBase http://support.discountasp.net/KB/browse.aspx .
Maybe you can fill in what worked and some of the other details below.
Ok, Using IIS 7 manager in Windows 7 X64 connecting remote to DiscountASP.
Is the Hosted Machine at DiscountASP Windows 7 ?
You Access Database thats good.
Which SQL Server is at DiscountASP and local system they show MySQL and SQL Server Microsoft Versions ?
You can not Create a Backup ?
And always get this error maybe missed in the post ?
What is the error number message details ?
If your using SQL Server 2005 2008 the Server Manager Studio might help with this
you can look at the Database Engine Logs and Search for error and check that.
If your using MySQL Server you can use the Work Bench or other tools to search the logs for error.
Not sure how to help with this yet not enough to go on. Have you checked with DiscountASP Support
for what they have for errors and problems ?

Yes, SQL Server 2008 R2 Books on Line Back-Up http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms175477.aspx .
SQL Server 2008 R2 Back-up Simple http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms191164.aspx .
The Problem may be with the Hosting Company Support for versions and editions contact there support.
What has the Hosting Company Suggested ?
