Trouble starting up my personal webserver

I am new to the whole webserver setup so I appologize up front for my lack of knowledge. I'm trying to teach myself how to do this just for the fun of it. So here is my problem I have run into.

I have a Windows 2008 Server running my DNS and IIS. I have opened port 80 on the server and I have also Forwarded Port 80 on my Linksys router. All services are running without any warnings. When I enter in the FQDN the homepage comes up no problem. But when I enter in Localhost or 127.0.0.1 I get a "HTTP Error 404. The requested resource is not found." I can ping the FQDN and 127.0.0.1 and they are both active.

If I try to connect to the FQDN from another computer on the network I get page cannot be displayed. I have tried to do as much research as possible but can't find an answer. Can someone assist me with this?

     Thanks in advance

As you page works locally then it is unlikely an IIS issue.

I would look at firewall/routing/proxy issues.

Check firewall settings - also the outputs of "%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe list sites" and "netsh http show iplisten"
