    Binding problem

    Hello all,

I have installed (turned windows feature on) IIS, but when i go to localhost in my web browser, all i get is a blank page. when i type in my ip-adres (127.0.0.1, or 192.168.etc.etc) i get an error page. (connection has been reinitialized(translated from dutch to english, so i don't know if it is translated correctly)).

I also can't add a website in IIS-management. This is because there is nothing in the 'binding' list...

     Can anyone help me?

I am running Windows 7 Professional

    Kind regards,

Did you turn on all features of IIS? It sounds like you may be missing the Static Content module (under World Wide Web Services\Common HTTP Features).

To install all the default modules, (in the Turn Windows features on or off dialog) you can deselect the Internet Information Services node (nothing under IIS is selected) then click it once - this should select all the default install items. This should include all the necessary content to serve the localhost default page, including the Static Content module.

    Thank you for your reply.

My problem is solved by restoring to a restore point (to when IIS wasn't installed yet)

Now it works fine (don't ask me why :s)

    Regards
