SSL Settings in IIS7 getting reset [Windows Server 2008] with [Exchange 2007] [RPC]

I have a server that has Windows Server 2008 standard with Exchange 2007 installed.  I installed the RPCProxy feature in order to use Outlook Anywhere.  Looking at the RPC web's SSL settings they were set to Do not require SSL and Accept Client Certificates.  I was having a problem with my outlook anywhere due to the Request Entity being too large so I changed the "Accept Client Certificate" to Ignore and everything was working fine (I also checked to require an SSL connection).  It'll work for a bit, but then for whatever reason the SSL settings get set back to what they were.  Is there a setting somewhere else that forces these results? Or something I can change?

Another thing that I would be okay with is how to avoid the Request Entity being too large error, and just accept the client certificates.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

I may have found a temporary solution, but I don't like it.  I have granted ONLY the read permission on the applicationHost.config file meaning anytime a process tries to reset it, it will just give an access denied...at least that's what I'm hoping.

If you want to find out who is changing the configurtion, you may want enable Auditing here.

Please follow this article and enable auditing - http://blogs.msdn.com/vijaysk/archive/2009/01/20/metabase-auditing-on-iis-7-5.aspx

    HTH.

Apologies, It is not possible with IIS7 , auditing is available on IIS 7.5 onwards.

If you are on Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 7, you can do this.

    Sorry about that.
