Adv logging the right tool for me?

Just saw the new Adv logging tool and it looks promising. Glad there are modules like this.

I have a shared hosting enviroment and I am looking for the best way to monitor the website for hackers.

    1. I would like to see a daily view of files that got added to the websites.

    2. a daily overview of modified files on the websites.

Is this possible with Adv logging?

I don't think advanced logging will do any of those things.

The logging will show access to the sites not what files are added.

Also I don't think you are going about it it the correct way for looking for hackers. I would look at a script for looking at all teh files on a site and running it daily to see if it tallies up if you are that concerned.

Thanks for your reply. I was afraid of that :-)

    off topic:

Some of my clients use Joomla portals on Plesk and I have to fight daily hacks on templates and bad directory safety....

A double check in some way would be great. i'll keep looking for that.

I have managed many shared hosting environments I share your pain. Maintaining the overall sites of others poor code is a pain.

Separate all the sites into separate app pools and if a site gets hacked then honestly it is the fault of the client who uploads the code. Just stop it breaking other peoples sites/downing the server
