    500 Server Error

I'm new to IIS7 but have use IIS flavors for years. I mainly do site in classic asp and have about 3000 site running on the new windows 2008 64bit web edition. I'm not getting a fun 500 error. I've set "Send Errors To Browser" = true and done just about everything to get the errors to display. Attempted the Failed Request Tracing also. I just don't get the error. I've edited the "applicationHost.config" but still alway getting the 500 error page vs the error so I can fix it. Please HELP!

Have you tried enabling website logging and checking the log file for a more detailed error ?

    Hi,

The IIS log entries contain some more detailed error information. To show detailed error message in browser, you also need to set errorMode to "Detailed" or "DetailedLocalOnly".

Below are two articles about httpError and ASP settings, hope helps:

    HTTP Errors <httpErrors>
    http://www.iis.net/ConfigReference/system.webServer/httpErrors

Classic ASP script error messages are no longer shown in a Web browser by default
