  FTP 7.5 Installation Error Reply Contact Hi, I got a weird issue.  I downloaded ftp7_x64_75 from the iis.net site and everytime I try to install it I get the below error... I even tried to install from IIS using the Web Platform installer and I get the same error.. How do i correct this issue?  Thanks this installation package could not be opened. contact the application vendor to verify that it is a valid windows installer package

What location on www.iis.net have you used?  I just tried to install FTP7.5 on 64bit Win2008 using Web Platform Intaller and it went fine. I also succesfully tried to directly run MSI following the amd64 link on http://www.iis.net/extensions/ftp You could try to save MSI locally and install from command line using msiexec.exe /i ftp_x64_75.msi /l*xv ftp7.log Please check the the size of the ftp_x64_75.msi that you downloaded.   Re: FTP 7.5 Installation Error Reply Contact The best I can think is a vey unlikely case of corrupted MSi that is maybe cached locally or between your machine and microsoft download center.  That would explain why it fails to install. The MSI log file doesn't appear to give comprehensive information about corrupted files (though you can open the log file and let me know if there is anything actionable in there) If you have a public place were you could post your MSI copy so I can download it from there and see if it indeed is corrupted. Alternatively, you could find a tool to generate a hash of your file and let me know what the hash is. I could check the hash against the working copy..   Jaroslav Dunajsky (MSFT, IIS)
