    iis7 on windows 7 ultimate

    i want to host a site from my personal pc. i have windows 7 ultimate with iis 7. can some one give me the guidlines to do this, please? when i browse the site i can view it but when i type in www.maragh.com i get dns unavailable

    So you have purchased http://www.maragh.com/? Consult your domain service provider on how to point that domain name to your windows 7 machine. I doubt if that will work either, because the IP address your machine acquired from your Internet service provider is usually a dynamic IP (assigned by a DHCP server). A real web server needs a static IP address.

    no i have not purchased http.www.maragh.com. how can i get a static ip address...?

    Well, if you don't yet own that domain, you are not prepared yet. I suggest you contact GoDaddy or other web hosting companies' presale team to see if they can assist you on this topic. (http://www.godaddy.com/default.aspx)
