    SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetStp\Extensions registry key was not found

     While trying to install IIS 5.1 I got the following error

    SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetStp\Extensions registry key was not found

    and it did not install.

    Can anyone provide some insight on how to solve this?

    Hi,

    Which is version of the operating system ? You can only install IIS5.1 on Windows XP Professional.
