Web application stress tool (Homer) is missing

Downloads lists Homer (http://www.iis.net/downloads/default.aspx?tabid=34&g=6&i=1298) as available to download. Yet, link ends up as 404 error.

yes I can find wcat in IIS6 resource kit, but no trace of WAST and its interface to build the scripts...

Any idea where to find this?

Or an equivalent to build the scripts for WCAT?

Actually, I have contacted a guy who blogged about this tool, and he has been kind enough to put a link to the installer on his article.

It's in Italian, but you'll find the installer on the last link of the article "setup".

     You'll need 7zip to open it  http://www.7-zip.org/

Not that I'm aware of.  WCAT UI is a huge missing piece.  MS has been mumm.

Sorry for the delay folks - I don't have a good answer for you yet, but I'm still investigating this.

Hello Im trying to locate web application stress tool as well.

Any luck?  I started looking for it today to find the same thing..  I'm sure I have a copy of it at home on a backup somewhere, but I'm at work and would like to do my testing before the weekend.

    Updated:
I found my copy and posted it on my site..

Re: Web application stress tool (Homer) is missing

Hi guys.  Sorry again for the delay.  As best we can tell, Homer was pulled and the recomendation is either WCAT, or Visual Studio Team System Test Edition.  I'm afraid I don't have any other details about why the homer tool was removed from the download center.

    Thanks.
    Pete.

Thanks Pete.  wcat is not as useful to do quick and dirty type testing.  Are there any plans to expand the usefulness of WCAT with either a version a regular person can use or some UI

At the moment, there are no plans. I can confirm that the team knows this is a problem and it's on the table for possible work in the future.

    Thanks!
    Pete.
