    IIS not installing

Hi, I have a windows 2003 server 64bit version and have installed .net framework 2.0 sp2, 3.0 sp2, 3.5 sp1 but when I go to add server role and select Application (IIS), the installation keeps asking for a file which each time I point it to the exact location it does not go beyond there. The file name is nntpsnap.cn_ and I also get these alerts in the event log: Below are just the few of several such logs

     Event Type: Information
    Event Source: Windows File Protection
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 64001

    Computer: XXXXXXXX
    Description:

Any ideas why WFP is preventing this and how do I go about enabling the IIS component.

     Thanks

    Isaac

    Re: IIS not installing

When it asks for nntpsnap.cn_ - Are you providing the correct path for Windows binaries (64-bit I386 folder) or Sp2 files?

Check IIS6.log from c:\Windows and check for "Failure".

    HTH.
