IIS6 FTP: howto to have 1 folder linked to all FTP-Accounts

    Hi there,

We have IIS6 FTP server running for 6 users. There Homedir is on another maschine. This works fine.

Now, I want to have a folder somewhere, which is vissible to all 6 users after they have logged in to the FTP server. Like a shared "public" (common) folder, where we put read-only stuff thats of interest to all of them .

Is there a way in IIS6 to do this? I read somewhere that virtual dirs might be the solution, but so far I failed...

     Cheers

    Elmar

    Elmar,

If you are using an Isolated-User FTP site, then any documents placed in the "FTP Root" would be publicly accessible via all FTP accounts under that FTP site.

See the following for more information:

    Hope this helps!

You may also configure a virtual path at root level and map it to desire physical path.
Then to make it visible, you can create a dummy folder with the same name at each of the user home folder.
