    No applications tab in WPI

WPI with no tab for apps.

I have installed WPI and VS2008, however, there is no option (no TAB visible) in WPI to install the applications.  Any ideas?

Re: No applications tab in WPI

    Hi,

I have the same problem, but I will ask a question to,

I have the same problem with Windows 7 Professional RTM 64bit, but i don't have the problem with Windows 7 Ultimate build 7000/7100 RC 64bit Version.

Also there are some products missing like PHP, Drupal and a lot more.

Are there any differents with windows 7 products that will not allow us to see these tabs and the missing products?

    Nice Greetings

     Hey Guys

Same problem with my new Win 7 Pro RTM. I had W7 Ultimate RC and everything worked good...

Is not nice havin' this, cause it getting into my way to finish my University Project for the next weekend. If Somebody Knows how to fix this, or a workaround, I'll be apreciated.

BTW.: I tried another thread's solution, changing the file productCache2.0.0.5.xml, with no luck. I even tried to run in vista mode but nothings helped

I am also having this problem as well. With no gallery tab and some apps such as PHP missing etc...

I have looked into C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Web Platform Installer and I have no log files or XML file that i have read about in other forum posts.

The following files are at this location:

    • Microsoft.Web.PlatformInstaller.dll
    • Microsoft.Web.PlatformInstaller.UL.dll
    • NPWPIDetector.dll
    • WebPlatformInstaller.exe
    • WPIDetector.ocx

I would really appreciate if I could get some help on getting this resolved.

    Thanks,
    Warren :)

EDIT: Just a few more details regarding this bug running Win7 Pro RTM (from an Action Pack Subscription), VS2008 with SP1 installed. If anymore details are required to help solve this problem then please let me know.

Thanks for reporting this issue. This is a known bug in the WebPI v2 RC on Win7 Pro SKUs. We will be fixing this one for the next PI release.

    Thanks

How can we know when you get this fixed??

Do we get a Update from WinUpdate or something?

We will keep you posted on this forum. WebPI also offers auto-upgrades when new bug fixes and/or versions are available.

    Thanks

Thanks Nitasha for gettign back to us on that. Now I know its a bug and not my machine or DEV environment setup.

Just out of curoisty how long do these kind of bug fixes take, are we talking a few weeks or a few months?

    Thanks,
