    Publishing folders in IIS7

    Hi,

I am converting a system from Windows 2003 to 2008 and have come accross an issue with publishing folders as 'web folders'. They currently have an iis6 web site that allows them to access there network shares remotely. I duplicated the settings in iis7 but I get an error when opening the folders saying it cannot open the folder as a web folder would you like to use the defauolt view instead. If they click yes it opens ok but is an html view rather than a traditional folder that the users are used to. It is currently configured with basic authentication over SSL

Can anyone help me out and tell me what I am doing wrong?

     thanks

    SG

couldn't find webdav in iis 7. I saw that you can download it as a seperate install for IIS but wasn't sure whether that was the way to go as IIS is not my strong point.

Have downloaded and installed it and created a webdav authorizing rule to allow everyone, but no joy. if you create a rule is it enabled by default?

    Thanks

    Hi,

You must enable WebDAV by clicking the Enable WebDAV task in the actions page on the right of WebDAV Authoring Rules page.

For more information about install WebDAV on IIS7.0, you can refer to :
