IIS Remote Manager and Vista SP2 Compatibility

It appears that 2008/Vista SP2  may have negatively impacted some of the management features when using IIS 7 Remote Manager to administer an IIS 7 site. For example, when attempting to manage the 'Error Pages' settings, I am receiving the following error. I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue and whether or not there are any solutions other than waiting for the next release of the management tool. Thanks in advance.

There was an error performing this operation.

     Details:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Could you let us know more about the setup?

Is it by any chance that you installed SP2 on the client machine and not in the server you connect to? Is the client Vista or 2008? or are you using XP/2003 as clients?

I think there might have been a compatibility issue introduced between client SP2 talking to a Server SP1 which will cause this.

For now the only thing I can think of is instally SP2 in the server should solve the problem.
