    Simple (?) how-to for a ultra novice user: entering A or PTR records ?

     

    Hi folks,

    I've been tasked with making some enteries for a list of IPs that need name entries. I know nothing about IIS and so I'm hoping that this will be something so routine that there's a GUI interface to the server that will allow me to do it (after I get the login info, of course). I don't nomally do this type of work.

    Is this a fairly simple process ?

    Appreciate any help!

    Hi,

    Are you asking about making the DNS entries or do those records already exist in DNS and you just want to add those names to your IIS web server ?

    If its the latter then you probably want to read these articles :
