We are testing a new IIS7 farm for our .net app. In addition to a shared config, we would also like to use our dfs for shared content. The only issue is that setting the docroot to the dfs location and using a shared web.config, we lose information that is specific to each of our web servers. There are some app keys that have to be unique per server in order for our application to function. I could use machine.config, but that seems a bit harsh. Does anyone know a way around this or a better approach.
