can't install on IIS 6.0 in Windows Server 2008?

When I attempt to install the IIS 6.0 FastCGI Handler on my Windows Server 2008 machine, which has IIS reporting version 6.0, it fails with the message "Setup was unable to detect a supported version of IIS installed. ..." I was unable to find anything on the web indicating that someone else has had this same problem. Has anyone seen this before, or have any ideas on what's wrong? Thanks!

    Hi,

You can't install the IIS 6.0 FastCGI Handler on Windows 2008 because IIS 6.0 doesn't run on Windows 2008 - you need to use the FastCGI handler that comes with Windows 2008 as per this article :

Using FastCGI to Host PHP Applications on IIS 7.0

Thanks for your response. You're right, of course, I was confused by the "About IIS" window, which reports "Microsoft Windows Server version 6.0" before it reports at the bottom that IIS is version 7.0. My bad.
