    msg extension not allowed by iis6

    Hi,

    I am trying to place some .msg files in my asp.net application and providing URL to open them. But when URL is clicked I get the error message - File can not be found.

    The path is correct as I tried changing extension to aspx and now it is accessible.

    Please suggest.

    Hi,

    Are you seeing a 404.3 error in your IIS log files ? If you are read this KB article :

    IIS 6.0 does not serve unknown MIME types
