    Trying to Reinstall SQL 2008 after the fail.

    Can any one tell me the dependecies that have to be removed before I can attempt the reinstall?

    SQL Server Express requires: .NET 2.0 SP2, Powershell 1.0 or greater, or Windows Installer 4.5.

    Are you getting an error message? 

    It would be better if you can send us the summary.txt at %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log.
